Robert Norris is a Guinness World Record holder and independent endurance athlete with Down syndrome from Lakeland, Florida. In November 2025, he became the first athlete with Down syndrome to complete a full IRONMAN without a guide at IRONMAN Arizona, covering 140.6 miles independently.
He began his endurance journey in February 2024 and has since taken on full-distance IRONMAN races, major marathons and demanding trail events.
His independence is central to his story: navigating the course, making race-day decisions and managing his own effort. Through the Robert Norris Man of Iron Foundation, he shares his mission of showing what’s possible.
